Limited choice of alloys availability “off-the-shelf”

Some applications require a specific, non-standard balance of properties—such as a unique combination of wear resistance and corrosion resistance—that cannot be achieved with any commercially available wrought or cast alloy. In such cases, designers are often forced to compromise because producing a truly customised, homogeneous alloy with a tailored chemical composition is not feasible or economical using traditional melting and processing methods.

Processes we use to solve this challenge:

Powdermet® – Near net shape (NNS) HIP cladding
