Innovative coatings for improved safety

We are committed to developing innovative solutions that improve component and support regulatory compliance. A key example is our High-Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) coating – a high-performance, REACH-compliant alternative to hexavalent chrome.

HVOF coatings offer exceptional hardness, wear resistance and corrosion protection making them a highly effective replacement for traditional hard chrome. They are already widely adopted in critical sectors such as aerospace and automotive, where we support customers in phasing out hexavalent chrome to create safer working environments and reduce environmental impact.

Sustainable surface treatments

Following the successful deployment of this safer coating on landing gear across multiple new fleets (including Airbus A380, A350, A400M and Boeing 787), we are now expanding capacity to support the reconditioning and renewal of these coatings. This will enable continued performance and compliance as fleets progress through planned maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) cycles.
