Maintenance Technician

Job purpose

Maintain all production and building equipment.

Duties and responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and Maintenance of all HIP, CIP and Heat Treat equipment
• Troubleshoot and maintenance of all HIP, CIP and Heat Treat equipment support equipment
• Responsible for maintaining building and all related equipment, including preventative maintenance
• Perform all general maintenance duties including painting, cleaning, fixture/tooling fabrication, installing belts, bearings, chains, etc
• Maintain building facility: lighting, HVAC, plumbing and all other aspects of building maintenance
• Perform instrument calibration and temperature surveys
• Bring any unusual problem or irregularity to his/her supervisor
• Promote and practice safety and good housekeeping procedures in line with the 5S principles
• Must work in a manner consistent with the EMS


• High school diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree in a maintenance or similar technical discipline desired
• Certification in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and cryogenics is desired
• 3-5 years maintenance related job experience required in an industrial environment
• Knowledge of or experience with basic machine shop practices and the ability to interpret engineered mechanical drawings
• Experience with welding, cutting, brazing and soldering is desired along with a strong working knowledge of electrical circuits
• Must communicate effectively, work well with others and be able to work with little or no supervision

Working conditions

• A shop environment with pressurized argon gas, high voltage electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics and cryogenics
• Confined spaces, exposure to: heat, dust, noise, humidity, etc
• May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends as deemed necessary
