NEW FACILITY IN SHANGHAI REGION TO SERVE AUTOMOTIVE & GENERAL INDUSTRIAL CUSTOMERS
MACCLESFIELD (U.K.) — Bodycote (LSE:BOY), the world’s largest thermal processing services provider, today announces the company has opened a new heat treatment plant in Taicang, China.
The new facility, situated in Jiangsu Province, is designed to offer services required by automotive and general industrial customers, including a range of classical heat treatment processes such as carburizing, carbonitriding, annealing, normalizing and neutral hardening.
The new facility occupies over 5000m2 and includes a fully equipped laboratory for quality and metallurgical inspections. The Taicang plant complements Bodycote’s nearby Kunshan facility, opened in September 2014, which provides nitriding and vacuum technology.
The new plant brings the number of Bodycote plants in China to five, and underpins the company’s strategy for growth in China.
