Bodycote Metlab and Bodycote Shotton, part of Bodycote Testing has completed a major contract to invigilate, test and certify more than 30 qualified welding procedures approved under PED rules to the Irish State Training Authority (FAS).
Ireland’s leading experts in Construction Materials Testing (CMT), Bodycote Metlab has worked in partnership with FAS to develop the welding procedures which will be used to train advanced welders in a number of FAS welding schools throughout Ireland.
Jim Humphreys, Managing Director, Bodycote Metlab said: “This contract with FAS is a significant development and demonstrates the importance that the organisation places on independent verification of its training services. It will also enhance the growth of Bodycote PED services in Ireland and we are delighted to have had the opportunity to working with FAS on this project”.
