Bodycote Zabrze and Siechnice earn IAFT 16949 certification

MACCLESFIELD (U.K.) — Bodycote, the world’s leading heat treating and specialist thermal processing services provider, is pleased to announce that is has become the first company in Poland to be awarded certification for the automotive quality management system IAFT 16949.

The International Automotive Task Force(IATF) published IATF 16949:2016 to replace ISO/TS 16949, an international standard for quality management in the automotive industry which originated in 1999 by IATF in conjunction with ISO’s quality management committee.

Focused on quality and customer service to the automotive and general industrial supply chains, Bodycote implemented the new quality management system at two Polish sites; introducing an integrated management system that combines ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards.

Further, Bodycote Poland is among the nominees for the DEKRA Award 2017. The award recognizes manufacturers in the automotive industry which demonstrate the greatest contribution to building environmental safety. Consideration is given to those companies which engage employees in pro-environmental activities; build awareness of environmental safety, and improve processes and procedures.
